A native of Illinois, Rodney joins the hawks from North Gwinnett High School, where he spent two years as an Assistant Coach. Prior to his time there, Rodney spent two years as the Head Coach of Gainesville High School and four years as an Assistant Coach with Walton High School, which acquired three consecutive top four AAAAA state team finishes.  He is a former Division I wrestler for Georgia State University and an alumni of North Gwinnett High School.  He compiled an overall high school record of 158 - 37.  He was a state champion as a Junior and a state finalist as a Senior.
